Our History

Ray Funeral Home is your family’s funeral home.

Founded by Ted Ray, we opened our doors in 2000 to serve our surrounding communities.  In 2001, we purchased Fletcher Funeral Home and in 2003, we purchased Thweatt King Funeral Home. Since both of these buildings were older and in a congested part of the town, we combined them into our current location for a more modern feel with better parking.

Ted owned and operated this facility until 2010, when his brother, David Ray, moved to Cleveland to uphold the family business. David is a licensed funeral director and has been working in the industry for the past 25 years.  He is active in the profession as well as our community.  He is currently serving on the Mississippi State Board of Funeral Service as well as being a board member of MORA.  David also serves locally as a member of the Rotary Club, member of the Chamber of Commerce,  and is a board member of the Cleveland Country Club.  He also donates his time to his community through community functions, school functions, and being active in his church.

It is our goal to uphold the value of your loved one by honoring them the way that they would wish to be honored. Each human being is different so each service should be uniquely costumed to properly pay tribute to those we serve.
