Ada Sue McIntyre

Ada Sue McIntyre, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 26, 2024, she was born in Mississippi on November 19, 1934, to her loving parents W.D. and Josie Tharp. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Bethel Baptist Church from 11-1pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Bethel Baptist Church at 1:00PM. Graveside will proceed in the Drew City Cemetery. 

 Sue led a fulfilling life, working in the medical supplies industry at Baxter Medical lab where she dedicated her time and efforts. 

Sue served for many years as the Grand Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, she also was a lifelong devoted Christian who served at Bethel Baptist Church as secretary, and worship leader. 

Aside from her professional accomplishments, Sue was known for her kind heart and gentleness. Her infectious laughter could light up any room, and her generosity knew no bounds.

 Sue McIntyre will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the legacy of compassion and warmth that she leaves behind.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Dewie Raymond McIntyre; parents, W.D. and Josie Tharp, great grandson, Josiah Christopher McIntyre.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Sue McIntyre Myers, Ray A. (Natalie Torres) McIntyre, Russie (Ruby Johnson) McIntyre, Donna Joe (Jim Platt) McIntyre; grandchildren, Randy (Amanda), Anthony, and Aaron Race, Dustin (Emily) and  Ryan McIntyre, Shane (Kristine) and Justin Platt, Shannon Myers (Matt) Box; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Tharp Malone.
