Alma Mayo

Mrs. Alma Alyene Mayo, 85, of Drew, MS passed away at her home, Sunday, May 29, 2011. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home from 6:00- 8:00 p.m.. Celebration of life service will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Interstate Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Haney and Rev. Gerald Greenlee officiating. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to service on Wednesday. Burial will follow services in Interstate Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Mayo was born March 28, 1926 to John Allen Green and Ida Mae Price.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Mayo, Sr.; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Robbie Joy Austin (James) of Douglasville, GA, Margaret Ann Wheelus of Cleveland, MS, Robert Mayo, Jr. (Jamie) of Boyle, MS, and Dot Robinson (Dennis) of Shaw, MS; grandchildren, Denise Floyd, Tracey Pirtle, Debora Bowen, Lisa Griffin, Andy Leach, Clint Mayo, Carrie Mayo, Amanda Robinson, and David Robinson; eighteen great, grandchildren; seven great, great, grandchildren; sister, Barbara Gregory; and special friend, Donald Hampton.
Pallbearers will be Robert Mayo, III, Robert Leach, David Robinson, Justin Leach, Pat Bowen, and Benny Brooks.
