Mrs. Amerina Servadio Rossetti, 97, of Lexington, TN, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, in Parsons, TN. Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi in Shaw, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi in Shaw with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will be in Shaw City Cemetery.
Mrs. Rossetti was born in Indianola, MS on July 28, 1917 to Eugene Servadio and Maria Romangnolia Servadio. She attended Hale School in Sunflower County, and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. On January 23, 1936, she married Louise Rossetti. She worked for eleven years at Greenville Mills then retired in order to help her husband on his farm. She enjoyed all card games, especially bridge. Her other hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and fishing; but the most important thing was that she truly loved her family and spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Rossetti; parents, Eugene and Maria Servadio; siblings, Joe Servadio, Jenny Tumminello, Thelma Columbus, Annie Thorpe, and Lee Servadio.
Mrs. Rossetti is survived by her daughters, Mary E. Ivey of Parsons, TN and Emma Jean Waldrop (Carmen Waldrop) of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Michael Waldrop, Carmela White, Mark Waldrop, Gina Maiden, Lisa Davis, and Tracey Smith; 15 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Josephine Connolly, Viola Rossetti, and Fannie Massa.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Rossetti, Eugene Columbus, William Maiden, Lee White, Tommy Giachelli, and Mark Davis.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Kemmons Wilson Center Good Grief in Memphis, TN.
