Ann Spivey Bishop Ruscoe, 91, of Cleveland, MS died September 14, 2015. Ann, daughter of F.W. (Wattie) and Ione Bishop, passed away at the home of her daughter in Little Elm, TX where she lived the last three of years of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Annette Van Natta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Ruscoe, Sr., and her son Ray M. Ruscoe, Jr., and her dear friend Walter Wallace. Ann was born on October 25, 1923, grew up in Cleveland, MS and went to college at George Peabody Teacher's College in Nashville, TN. Her son Ray, Jr., was born in Japan where she lived during the Korean War. Ann raised her children in Fort Worth, TX where she lived for 27 years. She was an elementary school teacher and active member of the Methodist Church in Fort Worth and in Cleveland where she retired in 1980. She returned to Cleveland to take care of her dad at the end of his life and lived with him in the house where she grew up. Ann loved to travel, read, work crossword puzzles, and play cards with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will greet visitors at Ray Funeral Home, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11am with graveside services following at 2pm at the New Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, MS. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to American Diabetes Association, MS Society or Arthritis Foundation or First United Methodist Church of Cleveland.
