Ann Herrick

On June 10, 2024, Ann Herrick, 67, moved on to be with the Lord, Greg, her husband, Jack, her father, and other loved ones after her most recent battle with cancer. 

She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, which extended well outside the traditional definition. No matter how difficult, Ann always made sure they knew they were loved and important - not through gifts or words of praise but by always being there. 

Ann lived a selfless life, always concerned with the needs and wishes of others, which was evident by the role she played as a mother. Her husband, kids, pets, friends, and family always came first. 

She would say she was fine, even when she wasn’t. She was always concerned with other’s hearts, and she did not want to add burdens to their daily lives. She was a fighter, who didn’t express anger, worry, or complaint over a diagnosis or issue. 

Ann loved and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was at every event, graduation, recital and ball game. Whether that meant long car rides, flights, weather, or Delta mosquitoes, she wasn’t going to miss a moment. 

Later in life, she took up walking with her dear friend, Mrs. Candy Davis. She enjoyed being active, but her favorite part was the fellowship. 

Ann is survived by her children: Sarah Williford (Wes), Emily Melton (Matt), and Jake Herrick (Lauren); mother, Patricia Holbrook; sisters, Vickie Emmons (Ethan) and Jacquie Elmore (Kevin); and grandchildren, Ryder & Chase Williford, Mills & Logan Melton, Noah & Andie Herrick. 

The visitation in memory of Ann Herrick will be held at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS on June 14, 2024. The visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM so family and friends can come together to honor Ann's selflessness, love, and fight.
