Anne Reagan Tolbert, of Cleveland, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, April 1, 2016. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Mississippi. The Memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 11:00a.m.Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Starnes officiating.
Anne was born November 12, 1929, in Union, MS, to Thomas and Margarette Reagan. She graduated with a major in music from Milsaps College where she was also a founding member of Phi Mu Sorority. On May 1, 1955, she married Walter "Buddy" Tolbert in Union, MS. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.
Mrs. Tolbert was active in the Presbyterian Church as an Elder in Greenville, Mississippi, and was also active in Mississippi Republican Party where she received "Republican Woman of the Year."
She was the heart of the Tolbert family. She was a loving wife to her husband, Buddy, for 61 years and a precious mother to her three daughters, Patti, Sherri, and Libbi. She had unconditional love and support for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chrissy, Matthew, Anne Reagan, Taylor, Madisyn, Ray, and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margarette Reagan; and one sister, Virginia Walker.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Tolbert of Cleveland, MS; 3 daughters, Patti Tolbert of Greenville, Libbi Cox (Kim) of Greenville, and Sherri Stockton (Toe) of Cleveland; brother, John Reagan of Childersburg, AL; grandchildren, Chrissy Stockton Glasgow (Ray) of Hernando, MS, Matthew Trawick of Augusta, GA, Anne Reagan Cox of Oxford, MS and Taylor Stockton of Cleveland, MS; great grandchildren; Madisyn Grantham, Ray Glasgow and Mason Glasgow all of Hernando, MS; nieces, Deborah Belk of Newton, MS, Helen McKee of Little Rock, AR Jackie Kuykendall of Germantown, TN, and Lisa King (Andy) and their children, Carly and Mikayla) of Kingwood, Texas; Godchild, Katharine Surkin (Joe) of Madison, MS; nephews, Danny and Reagan Walker of Hickory, MS; sister in laws, Peggy Hammond of Collierville, TN, Diane McKee (Dan) of Madison, MS; and best friend, Jean Hill (Edward) of Tupelo, MS. Memorials can be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Mississippi.
