Annie Dee Stone Buckner

Annie Dee Stone Buckner, 90, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Cleveland Personal Care.  Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Burd and Rev. Brad Beckwith officiating.
Mrs. Buckner was born on February 1, 1928, in Sledge, MS, to William Calvin Stone and Gertie Mae Nicholas Stone.  She graduated from Lambert High School and continued her education my studying Cosmetology in Memphis. She worked for many years as a Dental Assistant in Cleveland then she became a Ward Clerk at Bolivar Medical Center. 
Mrs. Buckner was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland.  She enjoyed her church family and traveling with these friends.  She was an amazing story teller who could relate to any topic being discussed. As a talented seamstress, Mrs. Buckner handmade many of her daughters clothing from winter coats to ball gowns. She was a great cook, avid reader, and a caregiver to many.  Mrs. Buckner was known to volunteer frequently in her community whether it be sitting with Alzheimer patients so family members could run errands or working at the Bologna Center.  More than anything, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents William Calvin Stone and Gertie Mae Nicholas Stone; son, William Glenn "Bill" Buckner; and infant brother.
Mrs. Buckner is survived by her daughter, Janice Buckner Cauthen (Bobby) of Clarksdale; daughter-in-law, Alesia Shepherd Buckner of Pascagoula; granddaughters, Kellye Cauthen Catlin (Keith), Amy Buckner Arrington (Brad), Allison Buckner Erickson (Derek), and Carrie Buckner Gautier (Aaron); and ten great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Fuller, Kenny Millican, Harry Howarth, Gerald Findley, and Scott Brown (in memoriam).
In memory of Mrs. Buckner, the family requests donations made to First Baptist Church in Cleveland.
