Annie Lee Irby

Annie Lee Boyd Irby, 85, of Cleveland, MS, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McCarter officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery. Mrs. Irby was born July 4, 1931, in Geiger, Alabama, to Jim Boyd and Sally Velma Williams Boyd. On June 13, 1968, she married Marshall "Bud" Irby in Rosedale, Mississippi. Mrs. Irby was a member of Cleveland Church of Christ, and she enjoyed working in her yard and gardening when she was able. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall "Bud" Irby; parents, Jim Boyd and Sally Velma Boyd; and children, Mary Lucille Mags and Clara Jean Hebrick. Mrs. Irby is survived by her son, Jerry Lyn Boyd of Oklahoma; daughter, Velma Ann Boyd of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J.D. Mathis, Charles Garner, Lowell Kirkbride, Roy Boone, Mark Boone, and Ralph Smith.
