Barbara Ann Holder

Barbara Ann Ray Holder born Nov 1, 1929 in Duncan Mississippi left the toils of this earth for a place of rest and reunion with loved ones on August 19, 2015. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Herman Holder; parents Amzia Meek and Faedra Olera Sheffield Ray; and siblings Dulcie Ray, Mary Nell Smith, William Ray, and Vivian Lovera. Mrs. Holder is survived by her children John A. Holder (Nancy) and Barry Holder (Sherry) of Conway, AR and daughter Vivian Holder (Shannon) of San Antonio, TX. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Brad Holder (Lisa) and Haley Rikard of Oxford, MS; Katie Poe (Bryan) of Little Rock, AR; and Rob Holder (Jenny) of Alexandria, LA; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Rikard of Oxford and John (Little John) Holder of Alexandria. Her surviving brothers and sisters are Mack Ray (Nelda) Paris TX, Lucy Chamberlain Hernando, MS, Wayne Ray (Carol) Cordova TN, Jimmy Ray ( Ruth) Bartlett TN, and Linda Letson (Neal) Southaven MS. Mrs. Holder was a member of the Church of Christ at Drew MS, Oxford, MS and at Robinson and Center in Conway, AR. Mom will be missed by her family who deeply loved her. Visitation at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 2 to 3 p.m. with graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at the Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.
