Barbara Eugene Smith Ledford

Barbara Eugene "Bobbie" Smith Ledford, 89, passed away on December 25, 2017, at Cleveland Nursing and Rehab. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery.
Barbara was born on September 14, 1928, to Abner E. Smith and Margie Vina Smith. She married Cecil W. Ledford and resided in Merigold, MS. Barbara loved cooking for everyone and she loved being in the yard working with her flowers. She spent most days sitting on the porch reading the Bible. She had such a big heart and helped many people.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Ledford; daughters, Barbara Sue Ledford and Linda Tidwell; son, Bobby Dean Ledford, Sr.; parents, Abner E. Smith and Margie Vina Smith; brothers, Abner Lee Smith and A.D. Smith; sister, Thurma Dean Brown.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Dixie Shurden (Nathan) of Merigold, MS; son, Cecil Stanley Ledford (Doris) of Merigold, MS; brother, Billy E. Smith (Lyneben) of Eupora, MS; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Manzo, Hunter Akers, Will Johnston, Brandon Johnston, Nathan McDaniel, Bobby Ledford, Jr., and Billy Smith, Jr..
