Mrs. Barbara Jean Tribble, 79, of Shaw, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Shelby Nursing Home. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Tribble was born February 12, 1935, in Shaw, MS to Buster Harper and Willie L. Hodges Harper. She grew up and attended school in Shaw then moved to Greenville where she lived from 1973 to 2007 and worked at Greenville Mills. She was an excellent baker and loved garage sales.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Willie L. Harper; and husband, Thomas Tribble.
Mrs. Tribble is survived by her children, Judy Haney (Rev. Robert) of Shaw, MS, Don Tribble of Florence, AL, and Dave Tribble (Paula) of Crowder; grandchildren, Karen Bowen (Jason) of Cleveland, MS, Thomas Haney (Holly) of Cleveland, MS and Sara Grace Tribble of Crowder, MS; great-grandchildren, Will Haney, Lexie Bowen, Ryan Haney, Adam Haney; and brother, Charles Harper of Louisville, KY.
Pallbearers will be Will Haney, Jason Bowen, Clint Jones, Bill Havens, James McClure, and Tommy Nichols.
