Beatrice Pearson

Mrs. Beatrice Montez Pearson, 77, of Gunnison, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at North West Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Gunnison Baptist Church with Celebration of Life services immediately following beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Gunnison Baptist Church with Bro. Allen Robinson and Bro. Butch Cummins officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery.
She was born in Marks, MS on February 9, 1936, to Forrest W. Holcombe and Eva Holcombe. On September 11, 1951, she married J.W. Pearson in Rosedale. She worked for 36 years as a Supervisor at Shelby Die Casting and 13 years at the Gunnison Post office. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, stamp collecting, and flowers. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife. She was a member of Gunnison Baptist Church for 65 years.
Mrs. Pearson is preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Eva Holcombe; husband, J. W. Pearson; granddaughter, Jamie Renee Grimmer; and sisters, Mildred Runnells and Frances Gooch.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Dianne Nethery (Jimmy) of Gunnison; sons, James Lamar Pearson (Debbie) of Gunnison and William Duane Pearson of Cleveland; sister, Robbie Keeth of Plymouth, MI; 6 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Pearson, Tyler Pearson, Hayden Pearson, Jimmy Russell, Bryan Alford, and Billy Bassie.
