Benton Marsac Banks, 62, died Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 at River Oaks Medical Center in Flowood. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Pinelake Baptist Church in Madison. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at Linn United Methodist Church followed by services at 2 p.m. Rev. Jim Harmon will officiate the services.
Ben Banks was born March 13, 1953 in Washington County. He attended public schools in Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School. He has been a resident of Brandon since 1990.
He was employed with the Mississippi Office of the Attorney General as a Law Enforcement and Fire Fighters Disability Benefits Trust Fund Administrator.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Oron Lee Banks in 1970, and his mother, Mary Christine Banks ("Mama Banks") in 2006.
Ben was known for his great love for his children and family. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather ("Papa Banks"), brother, and partner. He is survived by two daughters, Tara Banks Wallace and her husband Jason of Bristow, VA and Regan Banks of Portland, OR; one son, Jason Banks and his wife Jill of Winchester, TN; 3 brothers, Kenneth Banks and his wife Lanelle of Brandon, Lance Banks and his wife Candy of Ridgeland, and Danton Banks of Ridgeland; one sister, Christi Holland of Marietta, GA; 4 grandchildren, Rylan Banks, Cali Banks, Lilah Banks, and Aiden Wallace; and fiance Vickie Stewart and children Hunter Stewart and Harley Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Linn Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 12 Carmeleite Dr. Shaw MS 38773.
