Bessie Louise Moody Fly Page, 89, of Shaw went to be with her Lord after a short battle with leukemia, Friday, March 18, 2011 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Celebration if Life services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Haney and John Chiccoli officiating. Burial follow in Shaw Cemetery.
She was born in Skene on February 19, 1922 to Arthur and Pearl Moody. She attended Skene schools. She married the former George Lee Fly and later married the former Roy Page. She was a member of Interstate Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Moody; 3 brothers, Leon Moody, J.R. Moody, and Willie D. Moody; 3 sisters, Teenie Kate Ford, Christine Beach, and Edna Fowler; and daughter-in-law, Minnie Fly.
She is survived by her six children; George D. Fly of Boyle, Jeanette (Charles) Commander of Shaw, Carlis (Jeanie) Fly of Shaw, Patsy (Frank) James of Benoit, Danny Jack Fly of Shaw and Gaylene (Jimmy) Combs of Barlett, TN; 9 grandchildren, Donna Bullock, Vivian Staples, Myron Fly, Melanie Saffold, Jessica Blocker, Danny Fly, and Rebekah Combs; 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Myron Fly, Levi Bullock, Paul Staples, Danny Fly, Ronald Pruitt, and Rodney Moody.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the charity of your choice.
