Betty Brown Vanlandingham, 75, of Hamilton, MS, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at her home. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home, with the opening from Brother Joe Young and with Brother Terry Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Delta Heights Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, MS.
Betty was born on May 18, 1944, to Clarence Everett and Myrtis Helen Brown in Coffeeville, MS. On December 21, 1962, she married Lenwood Charles Vanlandingham in Rosedale, MS. Betty was a warrior for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and had a deep passion for going on mission trips. Most of all she was a great wife, the best mother, and she adored her grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart, and prayed daily for each family member, friends, and others. Betty loved with her whole heart, and never took anyone, or anything for granted.
She is preceded by her parents, Clarence and Helen Brown; and by her son, Stephen Chase Vanlandingham.
Betty is survived by her husband, Lenwood C. Vanlandingham of Hamilton, MS; sons, Charles Richard and wife, Amy Vanlandingham, and Bradley Everett and wife, Marla Vanlandingham; daughter-n-law, Kimberly Borota Nutt; sister, Carol Sue Tarsi; grandchildren, Aubrey, Josh, Madison and wife Kate, Steven, Bailey, and Gage Vanlandingham; great grandchildren, Jacoby, Kasyn, Finley, Maddie, Elley, Cleo, Myla, and Juniper Vanlandingham.
