Mrs. Beulah Fae (Hester) Lewis, 89, of Brandon went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2021. A visitation will be held 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Cleveland, MS. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow. Interment will be at North Cleveland Cemetery. Beulah was born December 29, 1931, to Russell Clyde Hester and Birdie Mae Hester in Newnan, Georgia. She attended and graduated from West Coweta High School. Beulah received her BSHE from Berry College. Following her graduation from college, she taught high school home economics for several years prior to receiving her master's degree from the University of Alabama. She then became a professor at Delta State where she taught for ten years. She also worked in the Roberts LaForge Library in the circulation department. She married Tully Gene Lewis August 6, 1961, and they were married for 56 years. Beulah had a servant's heart and passion to serve others, especially at her church, St Luke United Methodist, where she and her husband were founding members. Most of all, she loved her family and cherished spending time with them as well as her friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Russell Clyde, and Birdie Mae Hester; husband, Tully Gene Lewis; sisters, Mae Alice Hester, and Winona Hester Bryan; brothers, Dwight Hester and Koy Hester; brother-in-law, Ronald Bryan; sister-in-laws, Esther Hester, and Marjorie Hester. Beulah is survived by her daughter Alice Ackermann (Lynn) of Rossville, TN; son, Alton Lewis (Kathy) of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Andrew Toney-Noland (Caroline), Allyn Toney Hillerman (Andrew), Britni Ackermann Corrigan (Sean), Kit Ackermann (Brittani), Lauren Jones (Kelly), and Ryan Edwards; great grandchildren, Olivia Hillerman, Milo Hillerman, Eleanor Toney-Noland, Wendy Toney-Noland, Riley Corrigan, Dean Ackermann, Tessa Ackermann, Ainsley Edwards, and Eleanor Jones; sister, Josephine Hester Hermes (Mohammad).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church.
