Mrs. Beverly Ann Barnes Smith, 58, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Delta Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Cleveland with Father Kent Bowlds officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery. She was born in Lexington, MS on July 20, 1957, to Robert Howard Barnes and Elizabeth Seymore Barnes. In 1975, she graduated from Shaw High School as a member of the National Honors Society. She then furthered her education at MDCC studying as an LPN, and graduated top of her class in 1977. She worked as a LPN at North Sunflower Hospital, Cleveland Nursing Home, and Family Medical Center. On August 6, 1993, she married Billy Eugene Smith in Lake Village, AR. She was an artistic person who loved crafting, doing projects, drawing, playing piano, writing and cooking. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching football and baseball. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her father, Robert Howard Barnes; step-father, Albert Durastanti of Shaw; brother, John Michael Barnes, and sister, Leslie Barnes Reynolds. She is survived by her husband, Billy E. Smith of Cleveland; mother, Elizabeth Durastanti of Shaw; children, Brandi Frazier (Jay) of Okinawa, Japan, John Gianini (Elizabeth) of Oxford, Phillip Gianini of Cleveland, Belinda Gilbert (Larry) of Eupora, Billy Smith, Jr. of Drew, Malisa Weinert (Jeromey) of Rincon, GA, Jonathan Smith of Atlanta, GA, and Chris Smith of Boyle, MS; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Robin Campbell of Shaw; and beloved nieces and nephews.
