Miss Billie Jo Ashley, 82, of Cleveland, MS, passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Winona Manor. Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at Providence Baptist Church from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Celebration of life service will be, Friday, March 2, 2012 at Providence Baptist Church at 11:00 am, with Rev. J.B. Hayes officiating. Interment will follow services in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Miss Ashley was born February 19, 1930 in Union County, MS, to James Oscar Ashley and Bonnie B. Mosley. She was a lifetime member of the Providence Baptist Church and served as church clerk and Sunday school teacher. She worked for Baxter Laboratories for 44 years and retired from there. Miss Ashley was an excellent cook and was known for her famous coconut cakes.
She is survived by her sister, Wilma Wilcutt of Winona, MS; special niece, Norma Jean Wilcutt of Winona, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mason Meeks, Hunter Beasley, Rusty Parsons, Cade Parsons, Ben McNeer, Luke McNeer, Spencer Ashley, Brett Wilcutt and Smith Ashley.
