Billy N Hays

Billy N Hays, 79, of Boyle, MS went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 26, 2022.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS.   Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at North Cleveland Cemetery.

Billy was born September 3, 1942, to Theodore Bilbo and Annie Ruth Hays in Boyle, MS.  He married Sybil Alexander September 25, 1964, at Interstate Baptist Church in Shaw, MS later he became a member of Boyle Baptist Church.  Billy was a veteran of the United States Army.  He worked at Baxter for 43 ½ years.  Billy enjoyed fishing, mowing the yard, gardening, wood working, and painting.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

He is predeceased by his parents, Bilbo & Annie Ruth Hays; sisters, Elsie (Hays) Lindsey, Beverly (Hays) Spruill, and Laverne (Hays) Watson; brothers, OJ Hays, Leon Hays, and Lamar Hays.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 57 ½ years, Sybil Hays; son, James Douglas “Doug” Hays (Karla) of Madison, MS; daughter, April Denise Etheridge (Billy) of Haughton, LA; grandchildren, Rowan Nicole Hays, Morgan Mackenzie Hays of Madison, MS and William Alexander “Alex” Etheridge of Haughton, LA; sisters Wanda Ray of Merigold, Elizabeth Langston of Cleveland, MS, and Kathy Smith (Danny) of Heber Springs, AR; brother, Don Hays of Cleveland, MS.
