Mr. Edward Lee "Bo" Davenport 81, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 15, 2020 at Cleveland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A visitation honoring his life will be held Friday, July 17, 2020 from 6-8P.M. at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in Ray Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in the Adams Arbor Cemetery in Charleston, MS. Bo was born July 20, 1938 near Skeen, MS. to Mr. Lonnie Lee Davenport & Mittie Lee Baggett. He grew up in around Skeen where he worked for D& L in the 60's for a few years until creating a lifetime career being a rice farmer in the agriculture industry. Bo was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and hunting. If it was a wild animal he knew how to trap it. He was a man of many talents. Bo knew the way to his family's hearts through their stomach by some of the best meals you would ever eat. In his spare time, he enjoyed arts and crafts. His favorite movies were country westerns and enjoyed the game of Bingo. His greatest treasure' in life was his wife children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a true definition of a family man. Bo was preceded in passing by his parents, Lonnie Lee Davenport and Mittie Lee Baggett. His beloved wife Lillie Mae Arbuckle Davenport, his sons, Edward Lee Davenport Jr., Damon Ray Davenport, brothers, , Ben & Glen Baggett, Vic Davenport, sisters, Diane Baggett, Eulene Baggett Ann Lewis, granddaughter, Cheyenne Davenport. Bo was survived by his children, Brenda Canady(Stanley) of Shelby, MS., Patricia Walker(Frank) Merigold, MS., Lonnie Lee Davenport of Greenville, MS., Lillie Faye Contreras (Sammy) of Benoit, MS., Judy Carol Kent( Kevin) of Tulsa, OK., brothers, Frank Newton Baggett (Ann) Belzoni, MS., James Baggett (Debbie) of Indianola, MS., Billy Ray Baggett(Margaret) of Shaw, MS., sisters, Dorothy Nelson of Jackson, MS., Lillie Mae Klein(Charles) of Cleveland, MS., Norma Jean Baggett of Memphis, TN., Shirley Anderson of Lake Village, AR, Betty Mae Gordon of Pontotoc, MS., Dotty Lawler of Kosciusko, MS thirteen grandchildren, and thirty two great grandchildren.
