Mrs. Bobbie Earline Sims Medders, 85, of Merigold, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Bolivar Medical Center. Graveside services honoring the life of Mrs. Medders will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at New Cleveland Cemetery with Rev. Artie Fulcher and Rev. James Rogers officiating. Mrs. Medders was born in Cleveland, MS, on February 5, 1932, to Albert Earl Sims and Annie Elizabeth Webster Sims. She married Doiss Edward Medders on January 14, 1988 in Merigold, MS. She loved her family dearly and graciously had a hand in not only raising her children but also in raising her grandchildren and many others by taking time with them praying for them, and supporting them no matter what. She was a true Christian who enjoyed attending church conventions, listening to gospel music, and worshiping her Lord. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, working in her yard, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Earl Sims and Annie Elizabeth Webster Sims; husband, Doiss Edward Medders; father of her children, James K. Williams; step-daughter, Janet Doelker; and sisters, Velma Williams and Doris Hood. Mrs. Medders is survived by her daughters, Brenda Bassie (Joe Lee) of Merigold, Rev. Sharon "Cheri" Fulcher (Rev. Artie) of Williston, TN, Marcia Moore (Jeff) of Grenada, MS, and Sandra Meadors (Gary) of Cherokee Village, AR; step-sons, Jerry Medders (Pat) of Florida, and Ed Medders of Pontotoc; grandchildren, Michelle Cooper Kimbell (Mike) of Ridgeland, Gary Wayne Cooper (Phyllis) of Cleveland, Butch Bassie (Cindy of Cleveland, Michael Bassie of Cleveland, Cheryl Horton (Ricky) of Walls, Chris Fulcher, Micah Fulcher, Ladonna, Tonya, Heather Bailey (Jeff) of Fort Cobb, OK, Kelly Bailey (George) of Grenada, Jeff Moore, Jr. of Grenada, Kasey Cockrum of Grenada, Rev. James Rogers (Jessica) of Rutherford, TN, and Tania Meadors of Southaven; and many beloved great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Cooper, Taylor Cooper, Dustin Wright, Will Rogers, Gary Cooper, and James Rogers.
