Bonnie Bowen

Bonnie Merle Marquis Bowen, 79, of Shaw, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Haney and Rev. John Chiccouli officiating. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowen was born September 3, 1936, to Jesse Patten Marquis and Virgie Lee Coleman Marquis. She was married to James Andy Bowen, worked as a nurse, and was a member of Interstate Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Patten Marquis and Virgie Lee Coleman Marquis; and son, Donald Glenn Bowen
Mrs. Bowen is survived by her husband, James Andy Bowen of Shaw; sons, James Skeeter Bowen (Melody) of Shaw and Patrick Lee Bowen (Viola) of Shaw; and grandchildren, Melanie Denise Wiggins, John Andy Bowen, and Jennifer Kay Tinnen.
Pallbearers will be Skeeter Bowen, John Andy Bowen, Mike Lofton, John Kelly, Gerald McClure, and Sonny Partridge.
