Mrs. Bonnie Crutchfield Farr, 93, passed away in Long Beach, MS, September 2, 2012. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Breland officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Farr was born November 22, 1918, to James Edgar and Esther Ferguson Crutchfield. On June 5, 1941, she married William Emmett Farr, Jr. in Boyle MS. She worked as a Professor for 27 years, 15 of those years were at Delta State University and 12 years were in the Bolivar County School District. Mrs. Farr was a member of First Baptist church of Cleveland. After retirement, she worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for 16 years. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining friends in her home (Friday Girls), and she was a talented seamstress. She donated much of her time at the nursing home with the dancing group called the "Prancing Granny's" where they would tap dance for the residents. She loved all sports especially Delta State girls basketball, but mostly Ole Miss football. Hotty Toddy!!!!
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edgar Crutcherfield, and Esther Mayme Ferguson Crutchfield; husband, William Emmett Farr, JR.; son, William Emmett Farr III.
Mrs. Farr is Survived by her daughters, Eva Farr Glamser (Frank), and Esther Farr Bates; Grandchildren, Kate Glamser Simm (Kirk), Bonnie McNamara Cooper (Michael), and Mollie Glamser Sessions (John); and Great-grandchildren, James Denton Simm, William Bradley Simm, Erin Curry Simm, Elizabeth Denton Sessions, Lyric Marie Cooper, and David Emmett Sessions.
Pallbearers will be Michael Cooper, J.W. Mitchell, W.B. Crain, Drew Dickmann, Frank Glamser, and Richard Farr.
Memorials may be made to Boyle Methodist Church, Cleveland First Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary #165 Nursing Scholarship Fund."
