Mr. William "Buddy" Orman, 76, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 1, 2011 at his home in Boyle, MS. Celebration of life service will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Ray Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Thomas Bruce officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. Burial will be in New Cleveland Cemetery, Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
Mr. Orman was born July 14, 1934 to William Floyd Orman and Modena Shaffer in Webster County. He graduated from Boyle High school, where he was the Valedictorian of his class in 1952. He married Josie Ramirez, September 17, 1976 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Orman was a member of the American Legion , Moose Lodge, and the Army- Military Police force. He retired in 2000 from Brent/ Kirby Towing Co. as the Chief Engineer. He was a Jack of all Trades, accomplished and elegant story teller. He was a devoted man to his family and loved his grandchildren very much.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Floyd and Modena Orman; daughter, Debbie Raymond; and granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Flores, and step-son, Armando Salinas
Mr. Orman is survived by his wife,Josie Orman of Boyle, MS; daughters, Kathy DeLaGarza, June Corzine, Mary Arangua, of Corpus Christi, TX and Lynn O. Love of Beaufort, South Carolina; six step-sons in Texas; grandchildren, Chris Osborne, Amber Doty Walker, Rachel Renfro, Jason Corzine, Jennifer Corzine, Hope DeLaGarza, William Mendez, and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sledge, husband, Winford Sledge and Sally Morgan, husband, Charlie Morgan all of Cleveland, MS.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to the Cancer Society of your choice or "DAV" Disabled Veterans Association.
