Mrs. Featherston was born on September 8, 1917 in Steele, MO to Wilson and Myrtle (Thompson) Barnes and was raised there on their farm. She married James "Harry" Featherston in 1941, and after World War II they farmed in Caruthersville, MO until 1963.
Mr. and Mrs. Featherston moved to the Mississippi Delta to farm successfully until they retired in 1979. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, James Harry Featherston.
