Carol Baldwin

Mrs. Carol Lynn Schwinn Baldwin, 60, of Drew, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be February 14, 2013, 12:00pm- 2:00pm at Ray Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at Ray Funeral Home February 14, 2013, 2:00pm with Bro. Rick Milan officiating. Interment will be at North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mrs. Baldwin was born in Pascagoula, MS on November 13, 1952, to Amos Howard Schwinn and Mary Alice Taylor Schwinn. On June 4, 1971, she married James Earl "Smokey" Baldwin, Sr. in Drew. She raised two "bad boys", and then went through nursing school. She worked at North Sunflower Medical Center as a LPN for almost 15 years until her retirement due to health problems.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos Howard Schwinn and Mary Alice Taylor Pearson; her spouse, James Earl "Smokey" Baldwin; sister, Bonnie Lee Schwinn; and granddaughter, Mallory Grace Baldwin.
Mrs. Baldwin is survived by her sons, James Earl Baldwin of Drew and Chris Baldwin (Melanie) of Drew; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Joe Schwinn of Horn Lake, Eddie Schwinn of Batesville, Chuck Schwinn of Water Valley, and Grady Pearson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; and sisters, Shirley Sanders of Ponotoc and Casey Thornton of Bartlett, TN.
In memory of Mrs. Baldwin, memorials can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
