Caroline Lacey 'Connie' Richardson

Caroline Lacey Richardson, 92, of Shaw, passed away February 26, 2015, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. March 1, 2015, at Interstate Baptist Church. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Interstate Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Interment will be in North Cleveland Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson was born in the United Kingdom on December 21, 1923, to George and Elizabeth Lacey. In October of 1944, she married Brinson Lee Richardson in the United Kingdom. She was a member for over 50 years at Interstate Baptist Church where she loved attending, singing gospel, and attending homecoming at her church. Caroline was a loving mother , wife, and babysitter and was affectionately known as simply "Nanny" to most. She loved to travel and shop, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Lacey; and husband, Brinson Lee Richardson. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her children, Loyd Richardson of Shaw, Buddy Richardson of Shaw, Becky Kilpatrick (Roy) of Cleveland, and John Richardson (Judy) of Skene; grandchildren, Michael Marquis (Leanne) of IL, Angela Marquis of Cleveland, Janea Richardson of KS, Jordan Richardson of KS, Bailey Paradise of Memphis, Celeste Tober of TX, Vanessa Case of Jackson, and Kim Martin of CA; great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Marquis, Alli Marquis, and Morgan Marquis all of IL, and Grey Kilpatrick of Louise, Jaylea Richardson Julianna Richardson, Jr. Richardson, and Jace Richardson all of KS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Aaron Case, Grey Kilpatrick, Larry Cocilova, Jerry Jones, Kenny Jones, and Ricky Stanford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interstate Baptist Church in memory of Caroline "Nanny" Richardson.
