Carrol Pearson

Carrol Pearson, 85, of Gunnison, MS went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2024, in Cleveland, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on April 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 11:00.   Carrol's final resting place will be at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, Mississippi, where a Graveside Service will take place.
 
He was born on August 18, 1938, in Lambert, Mississippi, to James and Irene Pearson.  
 
Carrol worked in construction as a roofer.  He married Clara Jean Bull on February 14, 1959, in Memphis, TN.  Carrol was known for his hard work and passion for the outdoors. He had a passion for hunting, especially turkey hunting, and fishing along the Mississippi River defined his joyful spirit and adventurous personality.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Irene Pearson; grandson, James Christopher Pearson; brothers, J.W., Travis, Roger, and Ira Pearson; as well as sisters, Mattie Perry and Marie Creel.
 
Carrol is survived by his loving wife, Clara Jean Pearson; daughter, Lisa Horn, and her husband John; his son, Michael Pearson, and his wife Judy; his grandson, Peyton Pearson Horn; and his sister Ozema Russell.

Carrol's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
