Cecil Eugene Tindle

Cecil Eugene Tindle, 92, of Cleveland, MS, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 2, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022, at North Cleveland Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Cecil was born July 6, 1930, in Cleveland, MS, to James T. and Nora Tindle.  He married Patty Baynes on July 11, 1949, in Hernando, MS.  Cecil worked as a superintendent of maintenance at Baxter for 38 years. 

He is predeceased by his loving wife, Patty Tindle; son Jimmy Tindle; and brother, DeWayne Allen Tindle.

Cecil is survived by his daughters Sharon Aguzzi (John) and Janice Fullen; sons Steve Tindle and Allen “Torch” Tindle (Raanne); grandchildren John Aguzzi Jr. (Betsy), Tricia Vargas (Robert), Amber Smith (Kyle), Morgan Tindle, Jana Nicholson, Jacob Fullen (Preslea), and Trevor Tindle; great grandchildren John Thomas Aguzzi, Ayden Aguzzi, Addison Vargas, Landon Vargas, Bailey Smith, Garner Smith, Jax Tindle, Noah Tindle, Tindle Nicholson, Marlea Ann Fullen, Olivia Hall, and Harrison Hall

When he was 14 years old, Cecil fell in love with Patty Baynes.   Their very special, loving marriage lasted 54 years. 

Cecil loved his family with a generous heart.  In 1962, after his brother’s unexpected death, he and Patty adopted his brother’s four children and loved those kids as their own.  They shared their home with family members whenever there was a need. 

Cecil’s generosity extended to the community as well. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He coached little league baseball for 8 years, and he was President of the Beulah Club for 4 years.  He loved to camp, drive tractors, and work in his garden.

The Tindle family wants to say a special thank you to Magnolia Home Care and Sunflower Home Health,and Hospice of North Sunflower and especially to Tomica Kirkham and Marjorie Sappington for giving of their personal time caring for Cecil.
