Mr. Charles Edwin "Chooper" Hooper, 60, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, at his home. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery. Mr. Hooper was born in Cleveland, MS on June 22, 1955, to Claude D. Hooper and Ernestine McKnight Hooper. He worked as a medical equipment technician for many years, and he enjoyed racing, river trips, bonfires, camping, motorcycles, and Karate. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude D. Hooper. Mr. Hooper is survived by his mother, Ernestine Hooper of Cleveland; son, John William Lovett of Merigold; sister, Sheryl Stephens of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lexi Miles Lovett, Swayde Elizabeth Lovett; nephew, John William Ray (Holly) of Cleveland; niece, Ginger Michele Naron (Forrest) of Cleveland; and 3 great-nieces, Lyndsi, Lanie and Frances Noelle. Pallbearers will be Frank Michaels, Walt Hooper, Paul Lishman, Brent Branning, Brent Mitchell, Coy Wilson, and Bill Thompson.
