Mr. Charles Wayne "Ben" Weed, 81, of Ruleville, MS, passed away January 4, 2011 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Higdon Herrington officiating at the Ruleville Baptist Church in Ruleville, MS. Visitation will be held at the Ruleville Baptist Church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011. Burial will follow the funeral service in Lehrton Cemetery.
Mr. Charles "Ben" Weed was born to Jesse C. and Alma Weed August 17, 1929 in Minter City, MS. He married Annell Robertson on November 6, 1955 in Ruleville, MS.
Mr. Weed is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse C. and Alma Weed; and brother, Jesse L. Weed.
He is survived by his wife, Annell Weed of Ruleville, MS; son, Ben R. Weed of Cleveland, MS; daughters Lisa Flanders of Ridgeland, MS, and Lynda Flemmons of Ruleville, MS; grandchildren, Erica Flanagan of Roundaway, MS, Evanne Flanders of Ridgeland, MS, Stephen Flanders of Ridgeland, MS, and Leigh Mabry Flemmons of Ruleville, MS.
