Charlie Fred Utz Jr.

Charlie Fred Utz Jr., 77, of Greenville, MS went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 26, 2022.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.

Charlie was born in Gunnison, MS to Charlie Fred Utz Sr. and Christine Topper Utz.  He worked at Waterways Marine, Greenville Ship Building, and Mississippi Marine Corp where he retired in February 2010.  Charlie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He loved to take rides in the truck on the levee.  Most of all he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Fred Sr. and Christine Utz; son, Billy Wayne Utz; brother, Bobby J Utz; sister, Mary Frances “Beany” Roncali.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Margret “Peggy” Utz of Greenville, MS; daughters, Wendy Utz Wright of Pensacola, FL, Mandi Baker of Rosedale, MS, Veronica Bell Farmer of Rosedale, MS, and Cynthia Utz Lawrence of Rosedale, MS; sons, Mikey Wanker of Grenada, MS and Chris Rushing of Greenville, MS; brothers, Howard Eugene Watson of Carrolton, GA and Hubert Utz of Leland, MS; sisters, Joyce Horton of Madisonville, TN, Joann Daniels of Greenville, MS, Susie Humphreys of Leland, MS, and Debbie Baggett of Greenville, MS; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way; along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.
