Clifford Long

Clifford Durwood Long, 93, of Rosedale, MS, passed away on July 17, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford, MS.
He was born in Calhoun County, MS in 1918 and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Rosedale. Mr. Long was a life long farmer and was currently farming his 73rd crop.
He loved his family and is survived by his sister, Juanita Holder of Cleveland; daughter, Brenda Dean of Brandon, FL; sons Buddy Long (Kay) of Cleveland, and Henry Earl Long (Lil) of Deeson. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years Pearl Graham Long, brother Henry Long, and sisters Frances Long, and Mary Hicks.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 6pm - 8pm, and Tuesday July 19, 2011 from 3pm - 4pm prior to the funeral service at 4 pm at Ray Funeral Home in Cleveland. Interment will be held at the New Cleveland Cemetery following the funeral service.
Memorials may be to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
