Daniel Atkinson

Daniel Sharp Atkinson, Sr., 69, of Shaw passed away Monday July 30, 2012. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at Ray Funeral Home, services will immediately follow at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Shaw Cemetery.
Sharp was born March 14, 1943, to Asa Bishop Atkinson and Jewel McClure Atkinson of Shaw. He was a member of the Grace Church. He loved to volunteer in the thrift store during the summer in Colorado. He played tennis at Delta State University for 4 years. He was a boy scout, who loved to fish and rock hunt. He also enjoyed woodworks and making jewelry.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Atkinson, (Adri) of Naples, FL.;brother, Asa Atkinson (Nancy) of Shaw, Ms.; Nieces, Betsy Warren of Bartlett, TN.; and a nephew, Buddy Atkinson, of Fort Worth, TX.
Memorial can be made to Delta State Tennis Program.
