Della Johnson

Della Mae Johnson, 104, of Duncan, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at Bolivar Medical Center. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Haney officiating. Interment will follow in the Shelby Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Zalma, MO on March 7, 1909, to Herman George and Elizabeth Caulder George. She married Norman Johnson, Sr. in 1924. She worked in the Shelby school cafeteria for 20 years, and was a member of Duncan Baptist Church. She enjoyed canvas painting, crocheting, cooking, and reading the bible.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elizabeth George; husband, Norman Johnson, Sr.; sons, Norman Johnson, Jr. and Bobby Johnson; and grandson, Billy Wayne Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Perry Johnson (Ramona) of Gunnison; a very special grandson, Bruce Johnson (Maria) of Shelby; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Johnson, Justin Johnson, James Jenkins and Bryan Johnson.
