Delores Rodgers

Mrs. Delores A. Rodgers, 80, of Shaw, MS passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Shaw cemetery.
Mrs. Rodgers was born October 7, 1932 in Mississippi to James C Cohea Sr. and Vernice M. Cohea. She married Howard S Rodgers Sr. February 10, 1960.
Mrs. Rodgers will always be remembered for Easter Star, working on puzzles, reading, quilting, canning, working in her yard, and loving on her grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Rodgers Sr.; parents, James C. Cohea Sr. and Vernice M. Cohea; brother, James C. Cohea Jr.; and sister, Mary Emma Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Charles) Roberson, Tootsie (Danny) Muzzi, Lisa (Mike) Williams, Kathryn (Terry) Griffin, and Janice (Bobby) Saxton; sons Howard (Jessica) Rodgers Jr., and Jeff (Barbara) Rodgers; brother, Cecil J Cohea; grandchildren Amanda, Gwen, Dawn, Dereke, Seth, Jennifer, Anne, Sarah, Colin, Bryson, Sam, Molly, Dana, Jamie, Juston, Danny, Vernon, Mandy; fourteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Seth Muzzi, Dereke Muzzi, Richie Tenhet, Will Cockrell, Brandon Clemons, and Mike Williams. Honorary Pallbearers Colin and Sam Rodgers.
