Don Faris Mixon

Don Faris Mixon, 61, of Skene, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Shaw, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Father Tom Mullally officiating. Interment will be in Shaw Cemetery. Mr. Mixon was born in Cleveland, MS, to James "J.W." Mixon and Theresa Rizzo Mixon. On December 29, 1975, he married Beverly Muzzi in Shaw, MS. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and owned and operated Mixon Parts Company in Benoit for many years. He loved visiting his beloved children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Muzzi Mixon; and his father, J. W. Mixon. Mr. Mixon is survived by his sons, Adam Mixon (Ashley) of Gulfport, MS, and Brandon Mixon (Amanda) of Denver, CO; daughter, Lindsey Massey (Brad) of Starkville, MS; grandchildren, Cole Mixon, Anna Lauren Mixon, and Lyla Mixon all of Gulfport and Daniel Mixon and Carenna Mixon both of Denver, CO; mother, Theresa Mixon of Skene; and sister, Janice Downs (Larry) of Indianola.
