Donnie Ainsworth, 69, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, in Jackson, M. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at Ray Funeral Home with Bro. David Koons officiating. Interment will follow in North Cleveland Cemetery.
Mr. Ainsworth was born in Harrisburg, AR on August 26, 1944, to James Wendell and Mattie May Shopher Ainsworth. He worked as a salesman for Mid-south Farm Supply for 20 years. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Clarksdale, MS and was also a 32 degree Mason in the Shriners. He loved golfing, spending time with daughter and grandsons, cooking for BBQ's, and making jokes. His all time hobby and team was the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Wendell and Mattie May Ainsworth; brothers, Buddy Ainsworth and Billy Ainsworth; and sister, Mary Dell Schwaller.
Mr. Ainsworth is survived by his daughter Tonya Ainsworth Dycus (Jerry) of Cleveland; 3 grandchildren, Dalton McFarland, Payton McFarland, and Tyler McFarland; sister, Lea Hampton of Evansville, Indiana; brother, Jerry Ainsworth of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Bross, Dalton McFarland, Payton McFarlands, Cookie Webb, Jimmy Hampton, and Gale Roark. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ledbetter, Bob Rush, and Joe Middleton.
In memory of Mr. Ainsworth, donations may be made to The Shiners Association, Clarksdale First United Methodist Church and/or Cleveland First United Methodist Church.
