Donald Elwin Dean, Jr., 67, of Richmond, TX, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, in Sugar Land, TX. Visitation will be held 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life will immediately follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Breland officiating.
Donald was born June 19, 1947, in Moorhead, MS, to Donald Elwin Dean, Sr. and Thelma Cade Dean. He loved his grandchildren and Tyson. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Elwin Dean, Sr. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Dean, of Richmond, TX; son, Michael Dean of Richmond, TX; daughter, Amanda Fletcher (Russell) of Rosenberg, TX; grandchildren, Tristan Dean of Richmond, TX, June Fletcher and James Fletcher, both of Rosenberg, TX; mother, Thelma Dean, of Cleveland, MS; siblings, Patricia Ray (David) of Gatlinburg, TN, Scott Dean (Nan) of McCarley, MS, and Cynthia Weeks (Jimmy) of Cleveland, MS; nieces, other family members and friends.
Memorials may be given in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 1535 West Loop S, #240, Houston, TX 77027, or to The Wounded Warrior Project, 2200 Space Park Drive, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77058.
