Doris Brown

Doris Virginia Clark Brown, 97, of Cleveland, MS, passed away January 27, 2014, at Cleveland Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Brown was born in Kentucky on October 5, 1916, to James Elmus Clark and Effie Luton Clark. On November 23, 1934, she married Russell Franklin Brown in Metropolis, IL. She worked many years as a seamstress as well as a dental assistant.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hertter of Cleveland, MS; granddaughters, Lisa Stallings (John) of Cleveland,MS and Laura Fralick (John) of Lenexa, KS; great-grandson, Matthew Stallings of Cleveland, MS; and great-granddaughter, Emily Stallings, of Cleveland, MS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Elmus Clark and Effie Luton Clark Shaffer; and her husband, Russell Franklin Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Sharpe. Friends may call after 10:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
