Doris Etoile Woods Mosley, 98, passed away on August 14, 2018, in Cleveland, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. J. B. Hays officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.
Etoile was born on August 27, 1919, to Charlie and Flora Woods in Maben, MS. On November 17, 1947, she married William Henry Mosley in Cleveland, MS. Etoile enjoyed crocheting and quilting, especially with her sister Hazel. She would spend most her time working in her vegetable garden then putting them up or canning them for later. Etoile was a faithful Christian and a member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved to play Bingo and looked forward to it at the nursing home. Etoile loved her family and always kept them organized by remembering every important date like anniversaries and birthdays.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mosley; son, James Donald Mosley; parents, Charlie and Flora Woods; and sisters, Hazel Lois Woods and Eddris Annell Walton.
Etoile is survived by her sons, Lanny Mosley (Nancy) of Cleveland, Harold Mosley (Marilyn) of Gretna, LA, and Gary Mosley of Senatobia; grandchildren, Kathy Mosley Diaz (Marc) of Collierville, TN, Michelle Mosley Delahoussaye (Robert) of Cleveland, Michael Mosley, Emmye Mosley Griffin (DeWayne) of Cleveland, Alison Mosley Bradshaw (Jeremy) of Collierville, TN, Jaimie Mosley of Rayville, LA, Julie Mosley Headrick (Doug) of New Orleans, LA, and Lori Mosley of Gretna, LA; and great-grandchildren, Evie Diaz, Michael and James Delahoussaye, Gypsy, Django, and Gemma Griffin, Eden and Eliza Bradshaw, and Finn Headrick.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Robinson, Stanley Cobb, Marc Diaz, DeWayne Griffin, Jeremy Bradshaw, and Doug Headrick.
