Dorothy Phillips

Dorothy Lucille Yates Phillips, 82, of Drew, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Arkansas. Visitation will be 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Ray Funeral Home, with Bro. Paul Blanchard officiating. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery, in Ruleville.
Mrs. Phillips was born July 5, 1931, to William Henry Yates and Ozie Lee Mann. She married James Howard Phillips August 5, 1948. She worked at Baxters for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and camping. She loved taking care of others. She will always be remembered for her great cooking.
She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Blanchard (James) of Bella Vista, AR, Janice Cobb (Marlon) of West Monroe, LA, Sarah Lynn Saxon (Don) of Bella Vista AR, Mary Jo Stanley (Chuck) of Hohenwald, TN, Wanna Huerta (John) of Myrtle, MS, and Nancy Davis (Bryce) of Madison, MS; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Michael Chad Saxon, Philip Blanchard, Christopher Saxon, Gabriel Saxon, Scott Cobb, Denise Cobb, and Wade Cobb. Honorary Pallbearers will be, James Blanchard, Marlon Cobb, Donald Saxon, Charles Stanley, John Huerta, and Bryce Davis.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Concordia Nursing Home and Circle of Life Hospice in Bella Vista, AR for their outstanding devotion and care.
