Mrs. Virginia Dovie Chun Finley

Dovie Finley 92, of Cleveland, MS was called home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2023.

A Graveside will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the Delta Height Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Dovie was born July 17, 1930, in Starkville, MS to her parents Henry Suttle & Kate Katherine Raffel. She attended and graduated from high school in the Mississippi Delta, and received a B.S. degree in nursing. Dovie married her late husband Lellowyn Laverne Chun in Cleveland, MS., November 20, 1947.  In her spare time she loved to sew, do embroidering, she was an avid reader who also liked working puzzles. Most importantly Dovie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was devote Christian. The family recalled that even one of the grand children learned the Lord’s Prayer because of Mrs. Dovie.  She taught Bible School Classes. Dovie loved her Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully her whole life. 

Dovie is preceded in passing by her parents, Henry Suttle & Kate Katherine Raffel Suttle, her late husband, Lellowyn Laverne Chun, and her brother Marvin Suttle, and sister, Georgia Collins.
