Dr. Rodney Frothingham

Dr. Rodney Frothingham, a beloved husband, father, and respected member of the community. Rodney peacefully departed from this world on February 5, 2024, at the age of 86.

Visitation will be held at Ruleville United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 12pm to 1pm with the funeral service at 1pm. Burial will immediately follow at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. We kindly invite all those who knew and loved Rodney to join us in bidding farewell to a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on our hearts and in his community.
 
Rodney was born on July 25, 1937, and grew up in Mississippi. He dedicated 28 years of his life to serving his country as a dedicated member of the Army before retiring. Following his honorable service, Rodney pursued a lifelong passion for medicine and became a renowned Neurosurgeon at Greenville Neurosurgery. For an impressive 37 years, Rodney committed himself to the well-being of his patients, providing exceptional care and making a lasting impact in the field.
 
Born and raised in Mississippi, Rodney completed his education at Mississippi College. He furthered his studies with a 2 1/2-year graduate program at Ole Miss and undertook specialized training at the prestigious University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Rodney's commitment to learning and his dedication to his patients earned him respect and admiration throughout his career.
 
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney E. Frothingham, Sr. and Anne Lou Childress Frothingham, sister Lois Lorraine Buchner. 

Rodney's memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife,      Jo Anne Frothingham, and his children Rodney (Shazia) Frothingham III., Gwendolyn (Laura) Frothingham. His presence will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
