Durrett Douglas Bailey, 73 of Corning, Arkansas passed away October 18, 2020 at St. Bernard's Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born December 14, 1946 in Grenada, Mississippi to Ben T. and Patricia McPheeters Bailey. He was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed riding his Harley, birdwatching by his River Bend camper, visiting with family and friends, and dancing with good dance partners.
Survivors include: his step mother: Mildred Bailey; Special friend: Terri Hobbs of Corning, Arkansas; one son: Douglas Ryan Bailey of New Albany, Mississippi; one daughter: Leigh Edwards (Ben) of Madison, Mississippi; three brothers: Ben Townes Bailey, Jr. (Ann) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Mike Bailey (Debbie) of Hernando, Mississippi, and Keith Bailey (Suzanne) of Madison, Mississippi; four sisters: Patricia Ann Bailey of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Nan Bailey Blackmon (Richard) of Madison, Mississippi, Carolyn Burroughs (Ron) of Jacksonville, Florida and Burnice Eley (Bob) of Cleveland, Mississippi; four grandchildren: Emma Grace, Reese, Evie Kate, and Benjamin Edwards; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his parents: Patricia Cress (Bud) and Ben Bailey, Sr. Graveside Service will be November 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, Mississippi with family and close friends.
