Edna Johnson Reaves

Mrs. Edna Reaves, 93, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Indywood Estates. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Tim McCarter officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery. Edna was born in Eupora, MS on July 26, 1922, to William Wayne Johnson and Rosie Watson Johnson. As a long time resident of Cleveland, she was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ, and also worked for 49 years in cosmetic sales at Kamien's Department Store. Mrs. Reaves is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Irby A. Neal, Sr.; son, Irby A. Neal, Jr.; and brother, William Wayne Johnson, Jr. Edna is survived by her husband of fifty years, Elmer Lyn Reaves of Cleveland; daughter, Jane Neal Elliott (Charles) of Leland; son, Bobby Wayne Neal of Omaha, NE; two step-sons, Dr. Leonard Reaves (Gail) of Virginia Beach, VA and Dr. Daniel L Reaves (Ayda) of Germantown, TN; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clayton Norquist, Mitchell Norquist, Reaves Norquist, Collier Kimbrell, David Neal, and Matthew Neal.
