Eddie Moorman

Edward Lee Moorman, a cherished member of his family and community, departed this life on March 16, 2025, at the age of 54 in Cleveland, MS. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Eddie was born on August 11, 1970, in Greenville, MS. Eddie’s journey through life was marked by hard work, passion, and love for those around him. Eddie dedicated a significant part of his professional life to the water transportation industry; he served as a deck hand. His commitment to his work reflected his steadfast character and willingness to embody the spirit of teamwork and reliability.

He received his education at O’Bannon High School in Greenville, MS, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. Eddie’s greatest joys were found not only in his work but also in the time he spent with loved ones. He shared a deep bond with his father, bobby Lee Moorman, and son, Bobby Lee Moorman, engaging together in their mutual love for drag racing-creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Eddie is survived by his son, Bobby Lee Moorman, and his wife Laura, of Cleveland, Mississippi; sister, Suzy Goodwin (Bobby) of Avon, Mississippi; nephews Tyler and Trey Goodwin; niece, Courtney Goodwin; grandchildren, Bryson and Lynlee Moorman. They, along with a host of friends and extended family, will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Betty Moorman, who undoubtedly shaped the wonderful person he became.

As we remember Eddie, let us celebrate his love, dedication, and the moments that brought joy to his life. His spirit and influence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
