Ellis Hodges
Earl spent many years working as a corrections officer and an EMT at Parchman prison. He loved his job but he loved working on his farm even more. Earl enjoyed raising all kinds of animals but some of his favorites were horses, cows, goats, chickens and ducks. His favorite thing of all was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Earl loved his Lord and Savior and always displayed an unwavering faith in Him. He served as a deacon in his church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hodges, and his granddaughter McKenzie Hodges.
Earl is survived by his wife, Catherine Hodges of Tutwiler; sons, Earl (Leigh) Hodges of Tutwiler and Clifton Hodges of Austin, TX; daughters, Sonya Allgood of McGehee, AR and Stacy Hodges of Tutwiler; grandchildren, David Laster, Patience Stafford, Jarred McClure, Leigh Hodges, Averie Hodges, Anna Claire Powell, Wesley Arnold, Cody Beck, Tori Hodges, Dakota Hodges and Dylan Hodges; great-grandchildren, Aurora Laster and Kyleigh Petty; sisters, Judy (Mike) Labella of New Albany, MS and Patsy Jones of Indianola, MS; brothers, Wayne (April) Hodges of Olive Branch, MS and Charles Hodges of LA.
Thank you, Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, for all of their loving care over the last 10 years.
