Elsie Faye Terrell Mullen, 83, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, in Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery.
Elsie was at her happiest when she was doing things for others. She loved gardening, birds and nature. The world will miss her caring heart.
Elsie has left behind the earthly body that carried her through the adventures of this life and she has gone home to her Creator. Welcoming her home are her beloved husband, Carl Austin Mullen; her parents John & Eunice Terrell; her siblings Lillie Sue & Jack Stillman, Maggie MacDonald, Franklin & Imogene Terrell, J.W. & Charlene Terrell, and Dorothy Mullen Arnold; her dear friend and project buddy Jerry Burkhart II, 3 nieces and 1 nephew; and a host of other friends and loved ones.
Waving with smiles and tears from this side of the shore are her daughters Carla Mullen Quinn of Princeton, TX and Charlotte Kay & Robert Beech of Gulfport, MS; her grandchildren Raina Weldon & Winston Hawkes of Dallas, Tx, Iola Mullen of Tampa, FL, and Nicholas Charles & Amy Mullen of Indiana; sisters-of-the-heart, Joyce White Thompson of Ruleville, Patsy & Buddy Rigby of Cleveland, and Alice & David VanNetta of Memphis; 19 nieces and nephews; 4 great grandchildren and hundreds of people whose hearts she touched along her way.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Burkheart, III, Marlon Lewis, Devin Lewis, Jeff Lee White, Carl Allen Rigby, and Leslie Arnold.
